No Julies ...Back to Frontosas ....AGAIN!

Was told by CF that the julies regani were out of stock...too bad ...
CF has renovated and Ecco Culture has moved in to share the premise with CF. The place is so much bigger than I thought. Bought another 12kg of granite and did some rescaping.

Was lured by the wild caught zaire blue 'Kitumbas' that arrived last Friday. Couldn't resist them, bought two. My are they expensive. This current batch seemed to be quite good, very purple though a bit smal. approx. 7.5-10cm.

I have also reluctantly put my 6 cypri. leptosoma utintas up for sale, barely 1 month since I got them from brother Lucas. Can't leave them with the frontosas in the 6ft tank, but housing them in my new 2ft would be too small. Alas, with my 1ft demasoni grow-out tank having algae problem again, I have decided to move them to the new 2ft standing. Hence the cyprs will have to go. Just looking to recoup the amount that I paid for them.

Hopefully the 15 6month old fries that are growing out of another 2ft tank will make it to adulthood and bare me the next generation.

Managed to get a pic of all 3 variants for Zaire Blues.

No Cypris...How About Julies?

Was informed that the fishes are out of stock. :( Well, I just take it as it's $200 odd dollars saved and it saved me some headache as well as I have been cracking my head as to where to house them.

Have transferred 6 of the existing "utinta" adult cypris to a 1x2x1 tank. Hardly the right size tank for the 6 adults. Am considering selling them off and replacing them with some julie regani or julie dickfeldi which haven't been seen here locally for awhile. Other julies like ornatus and .... are a common site but somehow reganis are rare. My 15 utinta fries are growing at a good rate though I still can't spot any males yet.

Here's a pic of a Julidochromis Regani and Dickfeldi at the bottom.

Here's a very yellow julidochromis ornatus probably a F0. Most of the ones I saw at the LFS here were much paler.

New Cyprischromis Leptosoma "Kigoma"

Hitched an order from brother Curahee from petfrd. Ordered 6 pieces (3m:3f). Doesn't come cheap but well, when they are nice, they are really nice. Order was placed with CF..should be arriving next thursday.

Heatwave

The heatwave is taking it's toll on my fishes. Had two of my cypris died for no apparent reason last week and just yesterday fished out one of my fav sp.black ikola tropheus. No sign of bloat or whatever. Even at night, when i touch the water in my 4 tanks, it's warm.
